Best Live Chat Software for Small Business in 2026 — Seats, Free Plans, Real Costs
Quick answer: For a small team that answers website chats itself, Tidio is the best live chat software we have reviewed: ten agent seats on its Free, Starter and Growth plans, a $29/month Starter tier, and the human inbox we tested most thoroughly, with handover rated 4.5/5. SendPulse ($12/month Pro) is the cheapest paid option when chat is one of several channels you run. Intercom (from $29 per seat) is the pick when chat has to live inside a real helpdesk. If the budget is zero, tawk.to offers unlimited agents for free and charges only for extras, such as $39 a month to remove its branding. Crisp (free for two agents, $45 a month flat for four) and LiveChat ($25 a month for one user, $59 per person on Team) are the specialists most buyers compare next; we have not scored those three, and say so wherever they appear.
TL;DR~30 sec
Live chat pricing comes in three shapes: per agent (Intercom, LiveChat), per workspace with a seat cap (Tidio, Crisp, Landbot, BotPenguin), and free with paid add-ons (tawk.to). Which is cheapest depends almost entirely on how many people sit in the inbox, so this page prices one, three and five agents side by side. The ranking itself weighs the human side of live chat: seats, the agent inbox, handover from a bot, and what happens when nobody is online. Scores are carried unchanged from our 17-dimension reviews, documented at /methodology. For the AI-first view of the same category, see best AI live chat.

- Pricing data
- Scored platforms: cheapest monthly-billed paid tier carried from each Tier 1 review ledger per /methodology#pricing. tawk.to add-on prices from help.tawk.to 'Add-on pricing and key features' and 'Understanding billing for AI Assist', plus tawk.to/add-ons and tawk.to/why-free, read 2 October 2026. Crisp plan prices and agents included per plan from crisp.chat/en/pricing, read 2 October 2026. LiveChat monthly and annual rates from livechat.com/pricing, read 2 October 2026. Re-verify before purchase.
- Scoring data
- Editorial scores are weighted composites across 17 dimensions; pricing carries 12% of the weight and channels 10%. Each score and dimension figure is carried over unchanged from the linked Tier 1 review. The ranking order follows live chat fit for a human-staffed small team (seats included at the entry tier, agent inbox and handover quality as documented in each review, offline coverage, price for one to five agents) and says so wherever it diverges from composite score. tawk.to, Crisp and LiveChat are described but not scored or ranked, because no Chatbotscape review of them exists.
- Testing observations
- Tidio's inbox, handover and widget were exercised on a live trial account on 28 and 29 May 2026. SendPulse was evaluated in a logged-in account walkthrough; its Teamwork tab was present but not exercised on a single-user account. Intercom's handover rating is an anchored editorial assessment from vendor documentation and trial screenshots, with paid-tier testing pending. Landbot's inbox was observed in a trial workspace; its 4/5 handover rating is an anchored editorial assessment. BotPenguin's review combines a free-trial walkthrough with a higher-tier handover scenario whose testing notes are under re-audit, so its inbox and handover ratings are treated as provisional. We did not test tawk.to, Crisp or LiveChat hands-on.
The 2026 ranking — 5 scored live chat platforms for small teams
Every platform below ships a website chat widget, a shared inbox where more than one person can answer, and a way to hand a conversation from a bot to a human. That rules out Chatbase (73/100), an AI agent platform whose handover runs through tickets or a connected helpdesk rather than a team chat inbox, and the messaging-first tools such as Manychat, which has no website widget at all. The ranking then weighs what a small team runs into in its first month: how many people can answer before the bill changes, how the inbox behaves when a chat arrives, how a bot passes the conversation over, and what the visitor sees when nobody is online.
- Best Live Chat Software 2026·#1
Tidio
Best for small teams that answer website chat themselves and want several people in the inbox without a seat bill
- Strongest:
- Trust signals (90/100) and practical UX (84/100)
- From:
- $29/mo Starter (monthly-billed; 100 conversations, 10 seats, 50 one-off Lyro AI conversations); Free plan includes 10 seats and 50 conversations
Tidio started as a website chat widget and still behaves like one, which is why it ranks first on a page about live chat rather than chatbots. Our reviewer worked the inbox on a live trial account: live conversations and tickets sit in separate queues, Lyro AI conversations get their own bucket, and every thread carries a customer-data sidebar. When a visitor in our test flow tapped the "I need to talk with an operator" quick reply, the conversation landed in Unassigned with a notification and took one click to claim; the review rates inbox UX and handover 4.5/5. The seat model is the reason small teams stay. Free, Starter and Growth each come with ten seats, so adding a part-timer for the evening shift costs nothing. The meter is conversations instead: 50 a month on Free, 100 on Starter at $29, and up to 2,000 on Growth at $59, which also adds auto-assignment. AI is metered separately, and the 50 Lyro conversations on Free and Starter are a one-off allowance, not a monthly one. Setup is fast: our widget install with a working quick-reply flow took nine minutes. Evidence in the Tidio review; head-to-heads in Intercom vs Tidio and SendPulse vs Tidio.
Strong fit ifMost of your chats come through your website or Shopify store, two to ten people share the inbox, and you want to start free and pay only when volume grows.
Weak fit ifYou expect thousands of chats a month on a small budget (Starter covers 100), or you need SMS in the same inbox.

SendPulse
Best for small businesses that want website chat, messenger channels and an inbox on the lowest paid bill
- Strongest:
- Pricing (96/100) and trust signals (96/100)
- From:
- $12/mo Pro at the 500-subscriber slider (monthly-billed); free plan covers 3 bots and 500 subscribers
The highest composite score on this page, ranked second because live chat is one module of a broader product. SendPulse added a native website live chat widget in June 2023, and on the $12 Pro tier it feeds the same unified inbox as WhatsApp, Messenger, Instagram, Telegram, Viber and inbound email, with assignment and internal notes. For a business whose customers write on three channels, that is the cheapest paid way on this page to answer them all from one screen. What keeps it below Tidio is evidence and focus. Our review walked a logged-in account and confirmed the Teamwork tab where agents claim and route conversations, but the account was single-user, so multi-agent handling was not exercised, and the review does not document a per-seat price, a team-member cap at each subscriber tier, or a ticketing module. Confirm the team limit for your subscriber count before you commit. Evidence in the SendPulse review and SendPulse alternatives.
Strong fit ifWebsite chat is one channel among several (WhatsApp, Instagram, Messenger, Telegram), and you also send email campaigns you would rather keep in the same account.
Weak fit ifYou need ticketing with SLAs, a published per-seat price before you sign, or a chat-only tool your team can learn in an afternoon.
86/100Full review - Best Live Chat Software 2026·#3
Intercom
Best for support teams whose live chat has to feed a full helpdesk with tickets, email and phone
- Strongest:
- Channels (92/100) and trust signals (96/100)
- From:
- $29/seat/mo Essential (monthly-billed) plus $0.99 per Fin AI outcome; Advanced $85/seat
Intercom is the helpdesk on this list. Its chat widget opens into an inbox that also carries email, WhatsApp, phone and social channels, and every conversation can become a ticket with a history. The review rates handover from Fin, Intercom's AI agent, to a human 5/5 on context transfer: the agent sees the whole bot conversation and prior actions, and can hand the thread back when finished. Read that with the caveat the review states plainly: Intercom's scenario figures are an anchored editorial assessment from vendor documentation and trial screenshots, with hands-on testing on a paid account still pending. Pricing is the other caveat. Seats cost $29 each on Essential, so three agents are $87 a month and five are $145 before Fin, which bills $0.99 per resolved outcome on top. That is fair for a support team measuring resolutions and expensive for a shop that just wants to chat with visitors. There is no free plan; the trial is 14 days. Evidence in the Intercom review and Intercom alternatives.
Strong fit ifChat is the front door to a support operation that tracks tickets, and your agent count is small and stable.
Weak fit ifYou have many part-time agents, or you are a two-person shop; our review scores pricing 42/100 and value for money 25/100.
76/100Full review - Best Live Chat Software 2026·#4
Landbot
Best for teams that want a guided, form-style chat that qualifies visitors before a person joins
- Strongest:
- Bot-building experience (88/100) and conversation design (86/100)
- From:
- €40/mo Starter (monthly-billed; 500 chats, 100 AI chats, 2 seats); Pro €100/mo for 3 seats
Landbot approaches live chat from the other end: the visitor answers a short guided conversation first, and a human joins once the bot has the context. Its visual builder scores 88/100 for bot building in our review, and G2 reviewers repeatedly call it the cleanest in the category. The inbox our reviewer observed in a trial workspace offers multi-agent live chat with internal notes, routing and roles; the review projects context transfer on handover at 4/5, an anchored editorial assessment rather than a measured run. Seats are the constraint for a staffed team. Starter at €40 a month includes two, Pro at €100 includes three, and Business starts around €400 for five, so this is the most expensive way on the page to seat five agents. AI chats are metered at €1 each beyond the plan's allowance (100 on Starter). The free Sandbox plan is website-only with one seat and 100 chats a month, enough to prototype a flow. Pick Landbot when structured intake is the point and two or three people answer. Evidence in the Landbot review and Landbot alternatives.
Strong fit ifYour chats are mostly leads or intake (quotes, bookings, applications) and you want the visitor's details collected before an agent picks up.
Weak fit ifYou need more than three agents on a small budget, or open-ended live conversation is the main job.
72/100Full review - Best Live Chat Software 2026·#5
BotPenguin
Best for budget teams that want a website widget, a bot and five inbox seats for $29
- Strongest:
- Practical UX and support docs (80/100 each); pricing 79/100
- From:
- $29/mo Little (monthly-billed; 3,000 messages, 5 team members, $7 per extra member); Baby Free is single-user
BotPenguin is the cheapest way on this page to seat five agents behind a website widget with a bot in front. Little at $29 a month includes five team members, each extra one costs $7, and the plan covers 3,000 messages. The free Baby tier carries the widget plus WhatsApp, Instagram, Messenger and Telegram with 1,000 messages a month, but it is single-user, so the shared inbox starts on Little. The inbox itself is where the price shows. Our review scores it 3.5/5: functional assignment with admin and agent roles, not the depth of Tidio or Intercom. Trust signals are thinner than the platforms above, and the admin interface is English only. One evidence caveat: the review pairs a free-trial walkthrough with a handover scenario run on a higher tier, and those testing notes are being re-audited, so treat its inbox and handover ratings as provisional until that is done. Evidence in the BotPenguin review and BotPenguin alternatives.
Strong fit ifYou want five people in the inbox and a bot in front of them for the price of one Intercom seat, and you can pilot on the free tier first.
Weak fit ifYou need a polished helpdesk-grade inbox, ticketing, or a vendor with deep peer-review validation.
70/100Full review
Three live chat specialists we have not scored yet
Most buyers searching for live chat software end up comparing three names this ranking does not include: tawk.to, Crisp and LiveChat. We have not published Tier 1 reviews of them, so they carry no score and no rank, and nothing below is a hands-on finding. What we can give you is what their own pricing and help pages said when we read them on 2 October 2026. Full reviews are on our queue: tawk.to, Crisp and LiveChat.
tawk.to — free software, paid extras
tawk.to's FAQ says there is no limit on agents, concurrent chats or the number of sites you add a widget to, and that the desktop and mobile apps are free. Its omnichannel inbox page lists live chat, email, WhatsApp, Messenger, SMS and Telegram in one shared inbox with unlimited team members. The company earns money elsewhere: an add-on to remove its "Powered by tawk.to" branding, an AI chatbot called AI Assist, and hired human agents who answer chats for you. The help center prices the branding add-on at $39 a month or $348 a year, per property; the help center notes that the annual price equals $29 a month, which is the figure the marketing pages quote. AI Assist has a free Hobby plan with 100 message credits a month and paid plans at $29, $99 and $399 a month. Hired agents start at $1 an hour, which the help center puts at $728 a month for round-the-clock coverage. The trade-offs to check yourself: the widget carries tawk.to branding unless you pay, it is hosted only (the FAQ says there is no self-hosted option), and every add-on is bought per property. Our tawk.to alternatives page goes through the billing in detail.
Crisp — flat price per workspace
Crisp prices per workspace with a cap on agents rather than per seat. Its pricing page lists a Free plan for two agents with the website chat widget, Mini at $45 a month for four agents with a shared email inbox, Essentials at $95 for ten, and Plus at $295 for twenty or more. AI usage runs on Hugo credits included by plan, so a team that leans on AI should model credit burn as well as the flat fee. For three or four agents, Mini undercuts every per-seat tool on this page. Our Crisp alternatives page covers the plan ladder and where teams outgrow it.
LiveChat — the per-seat specialist
LiveChat is the classic per-agent product. Its pricing page shows Starter at $25 a month billed monthly for a single user, Team at $59 per person, and Business at $89 per person ($19, $49 and $79 when billed annually, which is the rate the page displays first). There is a 14-day free trial and no free plan. Three agents on Team come to $177 a month at the monthly rate, which buys a mature chat-specialist product and a large app marketplace, but on price alone it is hard to justify for a small team. Our LiveChat alternatives page compares it with the tools above.
How we evaluated these platforms
Below this point the page moves from the picks to how they were chosen: the comparison table, the seat math, and the decisions that matter more than the logo.
How the ranking was constructed
17-dimension scoring rubric (methodology v3.12.1)
Every ranked platform is scored 0–100 against the rubric below — 17 dimensions in 6 weighted clusters. Cluster weights are published; per- dimension weights inside each cluster are documented in the methodology page and the per-review POC notes sibling file. Cluster weights were rebalanced in v3.12.1 (May 2026) to bring Pricing-and-Value closer to AI/NLU parity — reflecting the SMB persona's reality where price is a primary decision driver alongside AI capability.
| Cluster | Weight | Dimensions inside the cluster | What we measure |
|---|---|---|---|
| AI & Conversation Quality | 23% | Bot-building experience, AI/NLU capabilities, Conversation design | Time-to-first-bot, intent accuracy across locales, LLM integration depth, RAG quality, BYOLLM availability, multi-turn handling, fallback behavior |
| Channels, Integrations & Localization | 19% | Channel support, Integrations + localization | Meta BSP status, channel breadth, multi-user workspace, native CRM, local payments, MCP support, per-language NLU, UI language count, admin UI quality |
| Platform Foundations | 19% | Performance & reliability, Developer experience, Ecosystem & extensibility, Practical UX | SLA, latency, API quality, SDKs, template marketplace, mobile experience, self-serve onboarding |
| Operations & Team | 16% | Analytics & reporting, Team & collaboration, Compliance & security, Support & documentation | Built-in metrics depth, role-based access, GDPR/SOC2/LGPD coverage, support response time, free-tier support availability, local-language docs |
| Pricing & Value for Money | 15% | Pricing transparency & value (12%), Value for Money (3%, new in v3.12.1) | Cheapest monthly-billed paid tier, real-cost-at-SMB-scale, overage transparency, lower-bound VfM ratio against category baseline |
| Trust & Market Standing | 8% | Trust signals (5%), Partnership status (3%) | Multi-locale brand search volume, G2/Capterra/TrustPilot aggregates, AI citation frequency, Meta BSP, Google/AWS/HubSpot partner, vendor age and stability |
| Total | 100% across 17 dimensions in 6 clusters | ||
Editorial scoring breakdown — comparative table
Scores and dimensions are on a 0–100 scale, carried over unchanged from each Tier 1 review. "Handover" is the rating each review gives the bot-to-human transfer, with the evidence type in brackets.
| Platform | Editorial score | Pricing (12%) | Channels (10%) | Seats at entry paid tier | Handover (per review) | Free plan | Cheapest paid (monthly-billed) |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Tidio | 75 | 80 | 78 | 10 | 4.5/5 (hands-on) | Yes, 10 seats, 50 conversations | $29/mo Starter |
| SendPulse | 86 | 96 | 90 | Not documented; confirm by tier | Teamwork tab present, not exercised | Yes, 3 bots, 500 subscribers | $12/mo Pro |
| Intercom | 76 | 42 | 92 | Per seat | 5/5 (anchored assessment) | No; 14-day trial | $29/seat + $0.99/Fin outcome |
| Landbot | 72 | 74 | 74 | 2 | 4/5 (anchored; inbox observed in trial) | Sandbox, 1 seat, website only | €40/mo Starter |
| BotPenguin | 70 | 79 | 70 | 5 | 4/5 handover, inbox 3.5/5 (provisional, under re-audit) | Yes, single user | $29/mo Little |
Two inversions to read before choosing. SendPulse (86) and Intercom (76) both outscore Tidio (75), and both sit below it, because this page measures one job: staffed website chat for a small team. Our evidence for SendPulse's multi-agent inbox is thinner than for Tidio's, and Intercom's per-seat pricing makes it the expensive way to seat three or more people. If your chat volume is spread across messenger channels rather than concentrated on your site, read SendPulse as first; if chat feeds a ticketing team, read Intercom as first.
What one, three and five agents actually cost
This is the table most live chat comparisons skip. Monthly-billed list prices for the chat product alone, before AI add-ons, carrier fees or taxes.
| Platform | 1 agent | 3 agents | 5 agents | What else the price depends on |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| tawk.to (not scored) | $0 | $0 | $0 | $39/mo per property to remove branding; AI Assist from $29/mo |
| Crisp (not scored) | $0 (Free, up to 2) | $45 (Mini, up to 4) | $95 (Essentials, up to 10) | Hugo AI credits by plan |
| BotPenguin | $0 (Baby Free) | $29 (Little, 5 members) | $29 | 3,000 messages on Little |
| Tidio | $0 (Free) or $29 | $0 or $29 | $0 or $29 | 50 conversations on Free, 100 on Starter; Growth $59 for more |
| SendPulse | $0 (Free) or $12 | $12, confirm team limit | $12, confirm team limit | Subscriber count sets the tier |
| LiveChat (not scored) | $25 (Starter) | $177 (Team) | $295 (Team) | Starter is single-user only |
| Intercom | $29 | $87 | $145 | $0.99 per Fin AI outcome if you use it |
| Landbot | €0 (Sandbox) or €40 (Starter, 2) | €100 (Pro) | from €400 (Business) | €1 per AI chat over plan |
Two patterns show up. First, at three agents Tidio, BotPenguin, SendPulse, Crisp and tawk.to all cost less than Intercom ($87) or LiveChat ($177); Landbot is the exception, because its Pro (€100) and Business (from €400) tiers price like per-seat tools once you add people. Second, the cheapest tools move the meter somewhere else, usually to conversations or messages. Tidio at $29 for five people is a bargain until you pass 100 conversations a month. Before you pick on price, count last month's chats and divide by your agent count; the bot vs human cost calculator turns that into a monthly figure with staffing included.
Is free live chat good enough?
For a single owner answering a few chats a day, often yes. The free tiers differ in what they cap:
- tawk.to caps nothing on agents or chats and charges for branding removal, AI and outsourced agents.
- Tidio Free gives ten seats but 50 conversations a month and 50 one-off AI conversations.
- Crisp Free gives two agents and the website widget.
- BotPenguin Baby gives a widget plus four messaging channels and 1,000 messages, for one user.
- Landbot Sandbox gives one seat and 100 website chats, better for prototyping a flow than for running support.
The usual reasons to start paying are the same everywhere: a second or third person needs to answer, chats start falling outside business hours, or you want your brand on the widget instead of the vendor's. Our free plans comparison sets the chatbot side of these tiers out in detail.
How to choose — decision framework
Question 1: How many people will answer chats in six months?
One person: almost any free tier works, and tawk.to or Tidio Free are the obvious starts. Two to five: flat-rate tools (Tidio, BotPenguin, Crisp) beat per-seat ones by a wide margin. Five or more with tickets and SLAs: Intercom, or one of the helpdesks on our Zendesk alternatives page.
Question 2: Where do your chats start?
- Your own website or Shopify store → Tidio
- Website plus WhatsApp, Instagram and Messenger in one inbox → SendPulse, or see best omnichannel chatbot
- Website chat that turns into support tickets, email and phone → Intercom
- Lead or intake forms that need a person at the end → Landbot
Question 3: Who answers when nobody is online?
This decides more than the feature list. The options are an offline message that becomes an email or ticket (Tidio's email-to-ticket flow is documented in our review; confirm the equivalent on any other tool during a trial), an AI agent that answers from your help content and hands over in the morning (Lyro on Tidio, Fin on Intercom, AI Agent blocks on SendPulse, and tawk.to's AI Assist, which tawk.to says answers from your knowledge base), or a paid human service such as tawk.to's hired agents. Whichever you pick, write the handoff rules first: what the bot may answer, when it must pass to a person, and what it tells the visitor about response times.
Who answers at 11 p.m.: bot, offline form or hired agent
Live chat sells on speed, and a widget that says "we'll get back to you" at night is a contact form with a chat bubble on it. There are three ways to close the gap, and they cost very different amounts.
An offline form. Costs nothing extra. Fine if your customers expect next-day answers, and honest if the widget says so. Track first response time separately for in-hours and out-of-hours chats, or the average hides the problem.
An AI agent on your help content. The middle option. Tidio's Lyro and Intercom's Fin answer from your knowledge base and hand over to a person when they cannot, and tawk.to describes its AI Assist the same way; the pricing models differ (one-off allowances, per-resolution fees, monthly credit plans), so compare them at your volume, not at the headline price. The human handoff and warm transfer entries explain what a good handover carries with it.
A hired human. tawk.to's help center lists its hired-agent service at $1 an hour for round-the-clock coverage ($728 a month), rising to $3 an hour for a 10-hour-a-week part-time block. We have not tested the service and cannot judge answer quality. What it does show is the real competitor to any live chat tool: not the other software, but the cost of the person answering.
Before you pay: a 30-minute trial checklist
Run the same five checks on any two finalists, ideally with a colleague playing the customer:
- Install on a real page. Paste the widget on a staging page or your live site's least-visited page. Our Tidio install took nine minutes; anything much longer is a warning.
- Phone notifications. Install the agent app, close it, send a chat from another device and time the notification. A chat nobody sees for ten minutes is a lost chat, and phone alerts are where that usually happens.
- Two agents, one chat. Have both agents open the inbox and claim the same conversation. You want a clear owner and no double replies.
- Bot to human. Ask the bot something it cannot answer and request a person. Check that the agent sees the full transcript and the visitor is told what happens next.
- Saved replies. Set up three canned responses for your most common questions and use them in a live chat. If this takes more than a few minutes, your team will skip it.
If you are moving from another tool, our 14-day migration playbook has the run-both-in-parallel sequence.
How this page differs from our AI live chat ranking
Our best AI live chat ranking asks which tool's AI answers best on a website, so it ranks SendPulse first and includes Chatbase as the AI deflection option. This page asks which tool a small team of humans should answer chats in, so it weighs seats, the inbox, handover and offline coverage, leaves out tools without a team chat inbox, and adds the free and per-seat specialists buyers compare in practice. If your plan is to let AI handle most chats, start there; if people will answer most of them, start here.
Frequently asked questions
What is the best live chat software for a small business?
In our reviews, Tidio (75/100): ten seats on Free, Starter and Growth, a $29 Starter tier with 100 conversations a month, and the best-tested agent inbox among SMB tools, with handover rated 4.5/5 on a live account. SendPulse ($12 Pro, 86/100) is cheaper when chat is one of several channels, and Intercom (from $29 per seat) fits teams that need a full helpdesk.
What is the best free live chat software?
tawk.to has the fewest limits on its free tier: its FAQ says there is no cap on agents, chats or websites, and you pay only for extras such as branding removal ($39 a month per property, monthly) or AI Assist. Tidio Free gives ten seats with 50 conversations a month, and Crisp Free covers two agents. We have scored Tidio but not tawk.to or Crisp.
How much does live chat software cost per agent?
Per-seat tools run from $25 to more than $130 per agent per month at monthly billing: LiveChat is $25 for a single user, $59 per person on Team and $89 on Business, and Intercom runs from $29 per seat on Essential to $132 on its top self-serve tier, plus $0.99 per AI resolution. Flat-rate tools cost less for small teams: Tidio Starter is $29 for up to ten seats, BotPenguin Little $29 for five, and Crisp Mini $45 for four.
Is tawk.to really free?
The software is: tawk.to's FAQ says the agent apps, chats and widgets are free with no limits, and its add-ons page says 99% of businesses use it without paying for anything. It charges for optional add-ons: removing its branding, the AI Assist chatbot (a free tier, then $29 to $399 a month), and hired human agents from $1 an hour. Our tawk.to alternatives page covers when those costs add up.
Do I need live chat software with a chatbot?
Not on day one. A small team answering in business hours can run human-only chat and an offline form. A bot earns its place when chats arrive at night or the same five questions take up most of the day. Start with the bot answering only those questions and handing everything else to a person; our handoff design guide has the test script.
Which live chat software works with WordPress and Shopify?
Any of them can run on a WordPress site, because each website widget installs with a script snippet; our Tidio review also documents a one-click WordPress install. For Shopify, our reviews document a native Tidio connector that shows order status in the chat and a native BotPenguin integration from its Little tier. See best WordPress chatbot and best Shopify chatbot for the platform-specific rankings.
About this guide
Chatbotscape launched in 2026 as an independent review site. We publish our methodology at /methodology, pull every score from a full platform review rather than ranking from memory, and mark plainly which platforms we have tested and which we only describe from vendor pages. For this page, that line matters: three of the most-searched live chat tools have no Chatbotscape review yet, so they appear with sourced facts and no score.
